Ready for Spring Training, staying at Matt the Bat's house, hello Derrick, the wonderful scribe has indeed used 'ooh la la' in some of his writings, getting back from Dominican Repbulic, very emotional experience at the wake and funeral of Oscar Taveras, some folks unable to stand due to their emotion, overflow crowd everywhere the casket went, the hearse at one point could not go any further, pallbearers had to carry casket through and over the crowd, the emotion of Carlos Martinez going through waves of grief, Carlos told story about how he pleaded with Oscar to come to resort on Saturday where they could be away from the public, Carlos described premonition that something bad would happen if Oscar did not join him, Derrick had the experience of driving in the Dominican, as dangerous as reported, Carlos Martinez was surrounded by family the entire time, fans came up to Carlos often requesting to take a picture, the legacy of Oscar, what could have been, was known as "the phenomenon" in DR & he was the hope because he had made it to the majors.
