Segment 1 - Show Open, Sleep & Joe Strauss 4.13.15

Doug feels he won't be much good to us..., Doug feels he got too much sleep (more than 5 hours) per night over the weekend, sleeping better with a nice phone app, captain's log, we have our own version of the "The Bickersons", the home opener this afternoon, folks camping in the downtown area hoping to get tickets, our party at Llywelyn's for the big day, what gentlemen wear to sleep..., apparently Tim and Doug did not sleep last night..., we have no specific term for the home opener, that "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" might be the funniest show on television, Tim stayed up way too late watching the tube in bed, phone app measures the movement on the mattress, the wine glass mattress test, suggesting turkey sanwich or chronic to get to sleep, Doug's plan for journalism today, wondering if this morning's rain will prevent the clydesdales from running around field, looking back at the Cardinals extra innings win on Sundee, Reds manager Bryan Price not happy with the slide of Jason Heyward that he found to be dirty, figure that will blow over sooner than later, that Aroldis Chapman pitching in non-save situation, Trevor Rosenthal doing it too, oddity of Redbirds using too many pitchers to get through games, remembering how Rosie was essentially burned out or spiraling down during the later months of the 2014 regular season, those Brewers playing decent ball coming to town, there will be pageantry, Tim undecided if he will go, might give the tickets to someone else, three cheers for Jason Isringhausen doing well last Friday with the afternoon show, Izzy doing some TV analysis, have to think the Cardinals all-time leader in saves did okay with making money while playing, maybe some streaming issues..., Willie looks like he is ready to play dodgeball, stream working just fine, people from England using the phrase "piss off", Willie has been out of the country twice, Jordan Spieth with historic win at The Masters, looking at the exciting opportunity for the Blues, makeup for rest of the playoffs, big that the Kings are not in the postseason, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, asking The Cat to let him answer the first question..., Blues put themselves in as good as place possible, feeling that club may be poised to make run, have to belief they have as much or more depth than any other team, looking back to the most recent controversy (information overload), one of the most important tells moving forward will be reaction from goaltenders (Jake Allen or Brian Elliott) if things do not go well, depth to create pressure whe offense is needed, impressed with first game back for Alexander Steen, liked what we saw from the Cardinals especially the starts from Michael Wacha plus Carlos Martinez, not surprising that the Reds manager had some interesting comments, seeing Randal Grichuk getting some time in centerfield, lot of negative view towards Jon Jay, the manager using a lot of relief pitchers early in the season, thought that Jordan Spieth victory was blowout performance at The Masters, do not think that Spieth is one trick pony, definitely see future of golf with also Rory McIlroy plus Dustin Johnson, very impressive how Spieth carries himself on and off the course, Spieth very close with 14-year-old sister that is special needs, seems like other professionals like the Masters champion, seeing Stanley Cup futures from Bovada, Wild right behind Blues in odds, pundits like the Jets upsetting the Ducks, Joe likes Finals matchup featuring Blues vs Canadiens.
